Iasdve been thrown into menopause by my hysterectomy. How long are these crazy symptoms going to last?

If you had a hysterectomy and ovariectomy (removal of the ovaries) as well, you are going to immediately experience menopausal symptoms of hot flashes, night sweats, and perhaps increased moodiness, vaginal dryness as well as other symptoms. They can last anywhere from a couple of months upwards of one year. I recommend that you immediately speak to your doctor about any symptoms you are having. They can easily be treated with hormone balance. Even if you did not have the ovaries removed, it is not uncommon to experience these symptoms following hysterectomy, due to the fact that the blood supply to the uterus and ovaries and vagina are all connected.
